Nytro Nytro lurked in the dark areas of the alley searching for a decent midnight snack. A rat or two would do just fine or even better an alley cat. He snuck around the dumpsters and in between boxes for any signs of a living creature. Nothing. With a sigh his eyes wondered over to one of the tin garbage cans then quickly looked away. You have more dignity than that! Just go to Parfait's bakery! She'll hook you up... Nah, she was still mad at him for almost burning the place down by leaving the stove on for too long. Asking for something for free would be a death wish right now and he much preferred living over staving. He'd be alive more or less. He'd just moved here and already he's getting into trouble. The vampire sat on top of the boxes and stared up at the moon that peaked just between the two buildings trying to think of other places where he could find a quick bite until his thoughts were interrupted by meowing. He perked up and looked in the direction to see an orange tabby cat cleaning it's fur in the distance. He silently thanked whatever omnipotent being that answered his unspoken wish. Nytro leaped from his position and pinned the cat down. He picked the hissing feline up by the scruff. He stretched out his arm to move it further away from his face. He frowned. "I hope this foul mood of yours doesn't spoil your taste." he mumbled. aldara save this poor kitty

IndigoA dog was walking along the streets, doing a little hop-skip dance. She had been awoken by a nightmare, something that happened every once in awhile, of the lab. A midnight walk had quickly fixed that, raising her spirits and clearing her mind. While she walked, her bracelets clinked against one another, and her necklaces bounced on the large metal tag that was bound around her neck. While Indigo walked, she hummed a little tune to herself, smiling as a cool breeze passed her by. Maybe she could go open the Studio early, and start getting ready for the day. Dancing always calmed her down, right?
And then she heard noises coming from down an alley. Against her better judgement, the blinged-out mutt walked down, seriousness appearing on her face. If anybody was hurt, or in danger, she wanted to help them. Especially if they were being taken by scientists. Especially if they were being taken to the lab. But instead of the scientists that the dog had expected, she saw a cat-creature; pinning another cat down. Indigo growled.
"Hey, cut it out! Pick on someone your own size!" She exclaimed, eyes narrowed. Her faux glasses would probably dampen the effect, but she hoped to any gods out there that they didn't. "Let him go!" The cat-creature spoke of... taste? Was he going to EAT the smaller cat?! "If you're hungry, don't kill someone for it! If you put him down, I can probably get you some food!"

Nytro He just about to bite into the struggling tom's neck with sharp fangs before a voice startled him. Kill?! Who was-?... Oh. Wait, someone was behind him? He whipped his head around to see behind him with wide eyes. Some type of dog with a lot of bling going on stood before him. She looked quite upset, even behind those glasses. He frowned. He wasn't going to kill the cat. Not on purpose at least. He wasn't going to eat them either! That wouldn't feel right. Besides, she was offering him free food! Who could turn that offer down? Unless... it was a lie. Not likely, but its best to be cautious. "Oh yeah? And what could you have that's possibly better than kitty over here?" he gave the mutt a serious look shaking the cat a bit for emphasis which earned him a mew of protest.

IndigoThe cat-creature said he wasn't going to kill the poor tom-cat. Or eat him. So what was the creature going to do with the kitty? Indigo could only fathom, because she HAD heard him talking about the 'taste' of the cat. Was he a vampire? Oh dear holy goddesses above, please don't let him suck her blood! Indigo had already had enough of her blood taken by the scientists! But she stood strong and tall against the stranger.
"Well, I can make spaghetti and tv dinners, or I could probably get you some chicken tenders at the store. Isn't cooked food better than... whatever you were tasting with the cat?" She tried being diplomatic, but started fidgeting with her bracelets. This was WEIRD and Indigo just needed to get the stranger to drop the cat before she could leave. And get him food, but still. She was only a few yards away from her Dance Studio, why hadn't she gone to the studio instead of coming down this alley?
"But before I take you to get food, I'm going to need to know your name."

Nytro He waited and watched as she fretted for a moment. Had she realized the situation she put herself in? He grinned showing his sharp fangs. These were made for biting. The dog listed what she could offer. Spaghetti? Nah. Too much sauce never enough meat. He wasn't in the mood for frozen food either. There was enough of that at Parfait's place anyway. Ah, now the chicken tenders seemed to be the most appealing. He couldn't remember the last time he had any. She then proceeded to mention his taste for the cat. He was going to have to correct that. "Look, I don't have a taste for cats. It was just the first thing I saw okay? I'm a vampire in case you haven't realized already. Its kind of in my nature. The longer I hold back the stronger the urge gets. Besides, the taste of blood isn't all that bad... But seeing that you won't let me, I guess I'll take your offering of chicken strips as a temporary place holder." Nytro held up the tom to eye level and gave it a rueful look. "Looks like you'll be keeping all nine lives after all." He let it go and it fell onto its feet. The orange tabby hissed and arched it's back before running out of the dark alley, with a puffed out tail trailing behind. When the dog asked for his name he made a face. "I don't see why you need it, but its Nytro. Now you gotta tell me yours. 'S only fair you know." He stated taking a few steps closer to shorten the distance between them.

IndigoThe dog's ears folded without her consent, and she silently cursed the fact that she so openly showed emotions like fear. Stupid lab, this had to be it's fault. Just like Chik'ka and Irennial's deaths had been, and how Kilo's injury had been. This was stupid. She shouldn't have done this. But it was too late now. The creature-- who confirmed that he was a vampire --had spoken back towards her. At least the cat had been dropped, and Indigo could stop worrying about it.
"Well, you realize that if you needed blood, many grocery stores carry cow's blood in the meats section for chefs. But, of course, that's not common knowledge. So, I guess I can't blame you for not knowing." She pointed out, before shutting her mouth to hear his name. Nytro. Somehow that made sense, in Indigo's mind. She looked him dead in the eye about the next part. He asked for her name. That was a complicated question.
"Well, depending on what you consider my name, there are two answers. My given name is I-1, as you can see with my metal collar and ear tags. However, I prefer to be called Indigo-- I run the dance studio on this road." She then turned back towards the road. "C'mon now. Let's get you that food. I'm sure the grocery store is open, and it should have chicken strips."

Nytro The feline creature let out a sigh when the canine told him about grocery stores selling cow's blood. Ugh, if he wanted that, he'd just go out and find a farm rather than pay for it. It wasn't like he had any cash on him anyway. "Thanks for telling me, but I don't exactly have any money on me. I don't get paid until the end of the month and that is if Parfait doesn't have a grudge on me. Besides, I'd rather have something more... fresh, ya know?" He fell quiet again when she continued to speak. Apparently she has two names? The first one wasn't really a name more like some form of ID like a tag on a cow's ear. The second one would be less strange to pronounce and she'd preferred for him to use the name Indigo anyway. The canine continued to tell Nytro that she owns a dance studio. He wasn't sure on how he was supposed to take this information. He wasn't that much of a dancer. When Indigo turned to leave the ally, Nytro hesitated. He knew there wasn't going to be that many people out and it wasn't like the people out here were going to look down upon him for being a vampire like at his old home. The most reaction he's gotten so far was from Indigo who by his standards acted calmly and was not as guarded as he thought. Which was a little dangerous. He wasn't going to attack her. Not now. Er... Not unless he's in a dangerous situation? He'd control himself to the best of his abilities for her to have enough time to run away. Ah... Nytro shook his head. Forget it. He wouldn't lose control of himself. Not now. He shook himself and followed after Indigo. He thought about the food offering now realizing he didn't really know what he was about to eat. All he knew was that it had chicken in it. It wasn't exactly his favorite, but it was meat none the less. So uh... what exactly are these chicken strips or tenders? I've heard of tendons, but not that."
