Okay why did he feel so guilty when he looked over his shoulder and saw Tenir walking dejectedly back to his house. That was unfair. He shouldn't feel bad. But he DID and it was clearly Bon's fault and why hadn't he listened to him because now Tenir SURELY thought Bon was a monster but he had been the one guy to believe Bon and actually could protect himself against Bon and why did he look so upset. The brown tom stood there for a second and blanked on what to do. And then he figured it out.
"Tenir-- wait!" He cried out, running after the creature. "I'm sorry I walked away, please don't be upset!" Alright that was it. Tenir was OFFICIALLY initiated into the family for all Bon was concerned.

Tenir was given pause in his trudging when he heard... Bonfire? How long were they going to keep going back and forth on this? Well, not that Ten should really complain, because that was the sound of Bonfire calling his name, but it was a little weird. Tenir stood blankly for a second, staring at the cat before him, and then sort of... nervously laughed. Then laughed more. And then he was looking at the ground with this sort of crazed, nervous-giddy look. "Hah, oh dear void this is so weird what are we even doing." He looked at Bon, with one last chuckle, and then immediately reverted to normal everyday Ten, who was also part-time a normal everyday dork.
"Okayokayokay. Sorry. Er, yeah. Can we - I dunno, start over? H-hi, I'm Tenir, nice to meet you?" He was still half-manically smiling, which probably made it really weird, not that it wasn't already really weird. Heheheh. So, where was - he'd had a big speech for when he finally managed to talk to Bon, so that was totally gone at this point. Probably best to not start off - if they were starting off, now - looking like a stalker, so maybe... I dunno, mention something from their recent interaction? Was that - was that weird? He didn't know at this point. The adrenaline was TOTALLY gone, which meant he could think normally again. Okay. What would... what would a sensible under-void do?
"You-you know, you lo-look pretty, um, pretty cool. W-when you do that dragon thing." Oh-Kay. ...Not the best way you could have started. Bon held a lot of baggage about that, obviously, it could have been super rude to mention it?? Not that he didn't look awesome. And he hadn't misphrased it, even though his stutter made it sound less slick than he meant it to be. 'Cool' was a friend-bro-compliment right? Yeah. Sure. Believe that, Ten.

Oh dear Diren seriously what were they doing with their lives. Wait why was Tenir laughing. That was probably not great. Well, the sentiment of what were they doing was shared. Tenir asked if they could just start over and Bon nodded. A small smile appeared on his face as he felt the flames in his stomach twisting and turning. Tenir introduced himself and Bonfire let out a nervous giggle. The brown tom-cat opened his mouth to reply when the other creature said something else. That he looked pretty cool when he did the.... Dragon.... thing.
"Oh. Erm. Well. Can we maybe not talk about that? It's kinda... well, it's kinda bad. The time before just now... well, let's just say there's a reason that Fireflies doesn't bring friends over anymore. The last time he did so, he lost a friend." It felt... surprisingly easy to share this with Tenir. And it felt really good to get it off his shoulders. Though, pushing it onto Tenir's shoulders didn't feel fair. "That's... in the past now. Please don't worry about it. It's not something others are supposed to worry about really."
